Primarily responsible for maintaining and developing the Emerging Infectious Disease journal and Travelers' Health website and their associated ASP.NET based Content Management Systems. Also responsible for administration of web development IT infrastructure.

  • Develops and maintains ASP.NET based Content Management Systems for Emerging Infectious Disease Journal and Travelers' Health.
  • Mentored and managed junior developers to further develop features for Emerging Infectious Disease journal and Travelers' Health.

Served as a senior technical team member of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) Health Communication Science Office (HCSO) web team. Responsible for developing and maintaining publicly facing web applications and administration of web IT infrastructure.

  • Designed, built and maintain a content management system and website for the CDC Emerging Infectious Disease journal (EID). The system manages the data for more than 8,500 journal articles and related content. Built in ASP.NET C#, the system consists of two web applications; an internal admin system (ASP.NET Web Forms based) and externally facing website (ASP.NET MVC based) sharing a central SQL Server database. The deployment of the system saves an estimated 50 hours/month of a web production time over previous system.
  • Designed, built and maintain ASP.NET C# based content management system (ASP.NET Web Forms based) and externally facing website (ASP.NET MVC based) for the CDC Travelers’ Health website which delivers timely and accurate health information to the general public both in the USA and abroad. The site averages approximately 90,000 hits on weekdays.
  • Developed T4 templates that generate C# based object-relation data model for SQL Server databases using stored procedures, table valued functions, Microsoft Enterprise Library and SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) which enforce the proper usage of indexes and foreign keys.
  • Developed presentation layers to be XHTML, CSS, and RSS compliant utilizing search engine compatible friendly URLs.

  • Developed centralized "print on site" order management system enabling field contractors (photographers) to take photos at the hospitals throughout the United States, submit them to the home office for processing, and print the processed orders at the hospital in 15 minutes or less.
  • Developed, deployed, and managed PHP & AJAX based intranet for field contractors to access pay information and submit orders to the home office.
  • Developed, deployed, and managed ASP 3.0/ASP.NET 2.0 based intranet for management and home office staff containing a suite of applications to centralized business process and manage company data.
  • Provided desktop support for approximately 40 users at the home office.
  • Managed network including Windows based file and application servers, IIS and Apache (SUSE 10) web servers, databases (Oracle 8i, MySQL, MS SQL Server), and mail servers (@Mail).

Program Summary – The Master of Internet Technology degree is offered by the UGA Terry College of Business. The objective is to round out IT skills with experience in project management and leadership with the goals of developing graduates prepared to lead teams developing technology-related projects. Students are organized into cohorts that work together five semesters over two years. Classes offered focus on current trends and methods in project management, software development, database design, object oriented development, web technologies, systems analysis and design, and user experience (UX) design.

Capstone project – Technical lead of a team five developing an e-commerce web application for a Georgia based company providing customizable university-themed consumer products. The project is designed to create another revenue stream for the company in addition to their current operations. Contributing several years of development experience to the project. Web application is built using ASP.NET MVC 5, Entity Framework, C#, Bootstrap, jQuery, and jQuery UI.

SoundOps is an exclusively online audio mastering service. I developed the site from the ground up based on a user experience framework designed by Colleen Jones.  The web application is driven by ASP.NET with a SQL Server database.
